How it works

• Contracts start with a site/home visit to carry out a prospective survey including, taking a brief and advising on the feasibility of the proposed project
• I next move on to a measured survey in order to be able to start the plan drawing process.
• I use a computer drawing system , which is C. A.D. based but is one developed by Trial Systems Ltd and is known as "Drawing Express". This produces full A1 size drawings in scales from 1:2500 to 1:50 plus all sizes in between, customised scales are also possible to produce.
• After the site visit and agreeing the contract I usually produce a draft drawing for your comments on the completed drawing
• I then, once plans are approved by you, submit the plans to the local council planning department for planning and building regulation comments and approval.
• Should a structural calculations or a structural survey be required I work in close co-operation with a local structural engineer, so there is no breakdown in communication regarding any ongoing contract.
